One of the most egregious Creationist misunderstandings of Dr. Schweitzers findings is that it was "fresh meat". I think the last section does a good job noting how quickly remains not in the proper circumstances (Mammoth BBQ anyone) deteriorates, but I'd like to see the article Italic textflesh outItalic text exactly what Dr. Schweitzer did and did not discover.

Delpi-ote on JREF had some great comments on exactly the process she used and what she was able to recover (some reconstituted protein strands) and I think the article should reflect more of that. Specifically what her discovery was, was not "fresh meat" or "blood" or whatever Creationists might claim, but it was a challenge to previous notions about how and whether soft tissue could or would fossilize.
