Steven Novella

Steven P. Novella (born July 29, 1964) is an American clinical neurologist, assistant professor, and Director of General Neurology at Yale University School of Medicine and Ph.D graduate from Georgetown University.

Novella is long-time president of the New England Skeptical Society. He has hosted a highly ranked podcast, The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe, for the last 5 years along with his two brothers Robert and Jay, friend Evan Bernstein, and for around 4 years skepchick Rebecca Watson. He is an active contributor to several science and skepticism blogs. He is also one of the Skeptologists and actively contributes to SkepticBlog, the blog for the Skeptologists. He hosts a yearly skeptical convention in honor of the first member of The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe to die, close friend Perry DeAngelis.

As a practicing doctor, Novella's specialty within the skeptical movement is CAM: Complementary and Alternative Medicine, but has profound experience and a grasp of a wide range of issues.
