Richard C. Hoagland
From SkepticWiki
Richard C. Hoagland is a proponent of several way-out-of-the-mainstream hypotheses about Mars and space in general. He is most well-known for his claim that a large rock on Mars, which resembles a human face (the "face on Mars"), was deliberately carved by either space aliens or ancient astronauts. Astronomer Phil Plait debunks Hoagland on the web page entitled "Richard Hoagland's Nonsense".
