Noah's Ark is the large ship described in Genesis chapters 6 through 9 from the Bible, in which it is claimed that Noah not only survived a global flood, but carried with him at least one pair of every kind of animal for over a year.
Although Noah's journey on the Ark took place long before the Book of Genesis was written, if Noah or the Ark even existed at all, some have claimed in modern times to have discovered remnants of this enormous vessel.

[edit] The Incredible Discovery of Noah's Ark
In 1993, Sun International Pictures -- the same production company responsible for such masterpieces of documentary filmmaking as The Bermuda Triangle, Beyond and Back, The Outer Space Connection, and In Search of Historic Jesus -- produced a show for CBS television titled The Incredible Discovery of Noah's Ark. The show purported to interview eyewitnesses who had seen Noah's Ark, "experts" who provided supposedly credible accounts of how a Biblical flood could have occurred, and one man who had allegedly found a piece of Noah's Ark itself.
As it turned out, the "piece of Noah's Ark" was a deliberate forgery. George Jammal took an ordinary piece of pine, boiled it in a stew pot with some other ingredients (it reeked of teriyaki sauce), and baked it in the oven to make it look "old". He did this to demonstrate that the producers took no interest in ensuring the integrity of the "evidence" they presented.[1]
